Biological Engineering Institute

In the late nineteen eighties, the Eleventh Design and Research Institute of IT. (EDRI) undertook the design task of three biggest vaccine projects of China (Lanzhou Institute of Biologica Products, Shanghai Institute of Biological Products, Kunming Institute of Medicine and Biology) by virtue of the outstanding achievements in the clean room design domain. Then EDRI undertook a series of biological pharmacy projects successively and gained Class A design licenses of chemical industry and petrochemical industry.

In the year of 2000, EDRI established professional biological engineering institute and concentrated the design engineers with experiences in the biomedicine engineering field to work in such kind of design.

Since the establishment of EDRI’s biological engineering institute, it has already developed the most powerful biological engineering design institute in domestic. Its clients are the national top biological engineering corporation and some joint venture corporations, including State Research Center for Viro-Biotechnology Engineering, Chengdu Institute of Biological Products, Wuhan Institute of Biological Products, Lanzhou Institute of Biological Products, China Animal Husbandry Group, Harbin Veterinary Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Lanzhou Veterinary Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Medicine and Biomedicine Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Hualan Biological Engineering Inc., etc.

EDRI’s biological engineering institute knew and is familiar with GMP requirements of FDA, EU and WHO through communication with WHO experts and international companies such as TECHNIP and M+W in the design process of B encephalitis vaccine project of Chengdu Institute of Biological Products, Merial Nanjing Animal Health Co., Ltd. project, Bayer(Sichuan) Animal Health Co., Ltd. project, Phase  = 2 \* ROMAN II expansion project of Amersham Health Ltd.(China) of GE Medical System, B.Braun Medical(Suzhou)Co.,Ltd., so we can design the biopharmaceutical workshop which can satisfy both national and international GMP requirements.

At present, EDRI’s biological engineering institute can provide a complete design scheme including process, site master, civil and public facilities making use of accumulated experiences based on the product guide provided by client to reduce the burden of client in a certain degree and to communicate with client with much more convenience. There are engineers for all disciplines for biological engineering institute so that we can provide the full design services of process, civil, public facilities, fire protection, automatic control, sewerage treatment, outdoor roads, pipes and landscaping.
